Institutional Christianity, the institutional expression of the Christian religion, is currently complicit in so much anti-Jesus involvement that Jesus and his teachings have been lost. "Lost" implies the possibility of an accident; but this separation has been as intentional and as calculated as has the turn of freedom-loving citizens into the dominant haters of democracy.
The Church, comprised of its multiple denominations and vast numbers of local congregations, is the arch enemy of Jesus. Prosperity gospel preachers moved Jesus to the back pew long ago; evil observers realized they could do even more moving of Jesus until he was out the back door.
Who knew the chilling episode in the Gospels of Christian scripture where Jesus was run out of a synagogue by Jews who were trying to kill him (Remember that Jesus was one of them, a Jew!) would foreshadow Jesus being run out of the religion that carries his name (even though he was never a Christian and never even heard anything about a religion named after him, which as a devout Jew he would have opposed with all the energy he had because the only religion Jesus thought could exist was the one centered in the worship of and service on behalf of the one true and living God.
